So... I've been a little absent...

I've been away from my blog for a while. LOTS of things happened. Shortly after my last post in December 2013, my husband and I found out that I was pregnant. I had a high risk pregnancy, so my focus went away from projects (we literally made maybe 2 batches of jam in 2014), and my focus stayed on being healthy for my baby. Our beautiful daughter, Maia, was born July 2014.
My heart.

I've made some random things for her. Mostly hats. I haven't really played with my Cameo in a long time (my desk is covered in toys, bibs, burp cloths, and all sorts of fun stuff). I love it though <3

My latest project is a Mother/Daughter collaboration. We took Maia to the craft store and showed her all sorts of different baby yarns. Some she couldn't be bothered with... while others made her smile big or she would reach for them and not let go (the green yarn). I bought the colors she reacted to and started to crochet. 3 days into it (in between diaper changes, pediatric appointments, feedings, etc.) and this is what we have so far.

I love it! I am working in Red Heart Baby Soft. I can't remember the colors off the top of my head. I'll make sure to list them in a future, follow-up post if I forget to edit this one with them. It's Aqua, White, purple, and green (I can't remember the specific names for the purple and green).

Here is the working side:

It currently measures 22 inches square. Once it is done, it will be between 36 and 38 inches square.

My daughter loves it. She's always reaching for it while I am working and she likes to feel it. I can't wait to finish it!
